We love, live, and breathe wood! That‘s why we use real wood veneer in many of our pieces of furniture. Wood is a natural material that is ideal for furnishing rooms in daycare centers. It is durable and robust, so it can accompany many children on their journeys and go on an adventure or two without any problems. It also has a warm surface and is good for the atmo sphere. When they grow, trees remove CO 2 from the atmosphere, store it as carbon in the wood, and pro duce the oxygen that is vital for humans and animals. Really practical! In addition, wooden furniture is good for the environ ment. It can be produced with significantly less ener gy than, for example, plastic products. During this process, the raw material is used in its entirety. Chips and other residues are pressed into chipboard or used for carbon-neutral energy generation. This makes wood far superior to its competitors in ecolo gical terms, not only as an active CO 2 store, but also as a passive climate protector.

We only use PEFC- or FSC-certified wood for our real wood veneer. This means that it comes from sustainably managed forests where, among other things, a new tree is planted for each one chopped down. In this way, we make an important contribution to active climate protection and do something good for the environment with our furniture production.

SURFACE SEALING

Decor is not real wood, but rather an imitation of the natural wood grain made of plastic. The plastic surface is often visually indistinguishable from real wood, but feels much cooler than wood. The amount of energy required to produce decor boards is higher than for the production of real wood boards. Terms such as “wood design“, “wood look“, or “wood decor film“ are sometimes used. These terms always refer to a plastic surface. We only use the unambiguous term “decor“.

· Comply with fire-protection class B1 (flame-retardant) · Surfaces successfully tested in accordance with DIN 68861 Part 1 B: This means that the surfaces have been exposed to various substances such as water, butter, disinfectant, etc. They did not show any change after the specified reaction time.
