Play Room

The doll, theatre and role play in particular is a valuable and important field of experience for children. By recreating their every­ day life, imitating the actions of adults and bringing feelings such as joy, fear, or sadness into new play contexts, they deal with situations and experiences in their own lives. In this way, they develop emotional and social skills, and learn to ap­ proach and understand others - an important basis for cooperation. Well thought-out interior design should reconcile different forms of play as well as different age groups and interests. Children need an atmosphere in which they feel comfortable and secure, but which also stimulates their imagination. Play rooms should give them the opportunity to play alone, in pairs and in small groups.
